BUILDING
The B.I.G. is an ideal platform for builders, homeowners, apartment owners and anyone who wants to become one to find out about current trends and intelligent solutions. Building contractors and developers, financiers and insurers provide comprehensive and reliable advice.
In addition to the topics of building, furnishing and garden design, this time the security of energy supply and the increased use of climate-friendly energies will be the focus of the trade fair. Numerous companies will be on site with products and services and guarantee comprehensive advice tailored to the individual needs of visitors. Vaillant Deutschland, Top Exergy, SRS Solartechnik, energiehaus blechinger, Energiekonzepte Deutschland, Viessmann & Böttger, enerix-Alternative Energietechnik and Kältetech Kälte- und Klimatechnik will be represented at B.I.G. in the fields of heat pumps, photovoltaics and solar thermal energy.
Comprehensive advice is also guaranteed by the Bundesverband Altbauerneuerung (BAKA), the Energie-Beratungs-Zentrum Hildesheim (ebz) and the electricity and gas provider enercity.
The BAKA will also be presenting itself in the Forum Wohnen & Energie (Housing & Energy Forum). Here, experts will explain, among other things, how to modernize old buildings from the roof to the basement, where it is worth using natural building materials and energy-efficient system technology or how to apply for subsidies.
In the same forum, the Klimaschutzagentur Region Hannover will also be hosting informative presentations. For over 20 years, the non-profit organization has been advising homeowners, companies and private individuals on how to save energy, modernize buildings in an energy-efficient way and use renewable energies. In the current consultation offers at the B.I.G., independent energy experts provide information on replacing heating systems with heat pumps, on photovoltaics and solar thermal energy and on renovating the building envelope.
GARDEN
The "G" in the name stands for garden. Here, the B.I.G. inspires with a wide range of offers for all those who have a "green thumb", but also for those who are perhaps only at the beginning of their "gardening career". For example, the Garden Forum, presented by the Lower Saxony Garden Academy and the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture, offers a daily program of informative lectures. Whether it's about herb gardens, creating and planting raised beds or setting stylish accents in garden design - in the Garden Forum, visitors can gather all kinds of expert knowledge and get tips, tricks and ideas for their own garden.
Beautiful accessories, exclusive garden furniture and more can be found in the Garden & Ambience area. Visitors will find sculptures, fountains, flower bulbs and perennials, outdoor cushions, teas, honey, beach chairs, whirlpools and much more. For the first time, the Burgwedel-Isernhagen Beekeepers' Association will be at the B.I.G. with information material on beekeeping and honey from its own production.
In the garden area, garden enthusiasts can get ideas and inspiration for the next gardening season at the end of January and beginning of February. Renowned gardening and landscaping companies from the Hanover region will be presenting the latest design trends for the coming spring with elaborately designed themed gardens.
In the special show "Naturally Wood", the B.I.G. will present a new type of timber house plug-in system, the roofing purchasing department will provide insights into the varied tasks of the industry, and there will also be free advice on all aspects of roofing, a lively building site and hands-on activities for visitors.
INTERIEUR
A few years ago, the B.I.G. was expanded to include interiors, which has since developed into another visitor magnet. Anyone who wants to redesign their house or apartment is in the right place here, regardless of whether it should be elegant or rustic. The product range includes furniture such as living room landscapes, fitted kitchens, home accessories and much more.
