The focus is on key areas such as fishing tackle and techniques, functional fishing clothing, fishing trips, and the presentation of associations and organisations. The programme is complemented by practical workshops that offer tangible benefits to both beginners and experienced anglers.

Lower Saxony offers ideal conditions for such an event: with a multitude of rivers, lakes and canals, as well as its proximity to the North Sea coast, the state is one of Germany’s most significant fishing regions. At the same time, fishing remains an absolutely trending topic – the Lower Saxony Angling Association alone has over 100,000 members organised across some 335 clubs.

“Treffpunkt Angeln” builds on this strong foundation and creates a platform within the ABF for exchange, information and inspiration. As a new special feature, the format is aimed both at an established community and at those interested in discovering the sport of fishing for themselves. With its established themed areas covering leisure, travel and camping, the ABF offers the ideal setting to complement the topic of fishing effectively and appeal to new target groups.
