Since 2014, the O'Donnell team around founders August Ullrich and Philip Morsink has been producing exceptional spirits based on wheat brandy.
During a road trip through the USA, the two came across the fascinating history of "moonshine", the moonshine distilled during the American Prohibition era. Back home, August and Philip decided to revive the disreputable drink of yesteryear. Their liquor production was less clandestine than during the prohibition era, but initially the few glasses of liquor were mainly sold to friends and acquaintances - O'Donnell Moonshine was born.
The unique taste was so convincing that, due to the initially small quantities, production was able to increase a little bit at a time. To this day, our moonshines are developed with great attention to detail and are still reminiscent of the illegal distillery of the 1920s.
